SC-Special TV Yellow : Absolutely love this guitar

I already owned a DC Junior (in Faded Brown) which I adore, but a TV Yellow Special was always a dream guitar for me. So when I saw Harley Benton had released one, I couldn't resist!

Obviously the finish isn't strictly TV Yellow, but it's closer than a lot of others on the market, and you can see the nice grain through the finish.

The other slight niggle is the scratchplate being junior-style rather than true to the Special. I took it off with the intention of adding a more accurate replacement, but the pickups are slightly closer together than standard and in the time before I've been able to modify the scratchplate I've grown to like it without one. My DC Junior is also scratchplateless - the finish and grain on both guitars is great, so I'm very happy to show them off.

Also worth noting that it shares the deviation from classic body shape that all HB SCs have - a curve downwards at the neck heel. It actually makes the higher frets easier to access!

The neck's a nice profile, although the glossy finish takes a bit to wear in/get used to. If HB could do this in the open pore finish like the faded brown DC, it would be perfect!

I'm a big fan of the Roswell pickups (here and on all my HB guitars!), and everything else is brilliant. If you're after a Special, this is 100% the best bang for your buck available!
