12N630 - 8 Ohm : Nearly flawless bass speaker

Measured output performance is close to that of Eminence Lab12, with a bit higher Fs, less Xmax and more pronounced upper mids and higher nominal impedance (8 ohms vs 6) at the same averaged output level and 2 times less weight.

In 70l bandpass box response is linear down to 30Hz which was my design goal for a sub.

Cons: Inner side of rubber suspension has small uneveness that slightly impairs its looks, hence 4 stars for quality.

Pros: Very lightweight, soundwise it is tonally almost neutral even without LP filtering, doesn't audibly distort even near xmax, allows for small box volume, hence great for LF application in vented subs or 3-way.

Overall: pricey, but generally worth it.
