SE Hollowbody MT McCarty TSB : Great guitar for jazz and more...

I've got also a S2 Semi Hollow Custom, one of my favorite guitars, but this Hollowbody Standard is really different, not better, but more jazzy. And although this guitar shares the same "shape" with many PRS models, is bigger, at the end looking not so different from a 335/339 model.

The sound is great, pickups are ok, no need to change them, in my opinion, I'm going to upgrade just the tuners.

The factory setup isn't great, I had a bit of work in order to balance the truss rod curve and the strings height.

Out of the box the guitar sounded nice, but it was a bit hard to play, even with the 10-46 strings PRS mounted on.

I've taken a bit of time to get acquainted to the larger neck, very comfortable for chords, but not just as good for fast rhythm soloing.

Lastly, my opinion on buying this model or the one with the piezo on.

The price difference is, more or less, the same amount of a PRS Angelus A40E. No doubt, for me, better have a proper electric and a proper acoustic than a hybrid.
