DB01-CB Electric Double Bass : Top quality instrument for a really reasonable price

This is a really decent quality instrument which comes with a built in mp3 player input and headphone socket as well as the standard jack so you can practise along in silence without even needing an amp.

Another great thing about the headphone socket is you have a built in monitor which means you're not dependent on a sound engineer for decent monitoring.

The build quality is great, the wooden neck feels tough and is really nice to hold and to play. I'm new to playing bass so the dots on the fingerboard are really useful, though I'm not sure if they are standard on a bass.

I can't say much about the sound quality as I've only put this through a tiny amp.

Criticisms? The EQ on mp3s seems to be really treble heavy, missing a lot of the bass frequencies - possibly on purpose for playalong reasons, but I'd like to decide for myself whether I want to hear the bass.

The lovely shiny finish on the main body shows up even the slightest imperfection in manufacturing or any scratches. Even just the slightest ding will show up really easily.
