Top quality tone and durability is guaranteed with Ernie Ball Strings. Always use these on my Les Paul for live performance and practice at home.
Pros: Heavy bottom means you can pound on these with bar chords and they're more durable. This is great for me as I am heavy handed when playing live! Combine this with skinny bottoms for maximum playability for solos and lead licks.
Cons: None in my opinion.
Overall: If you slam on chords and want your bottoms to last but you still play solos and lead stuff and don't want long gigs to feel like torture, these strings are for you!!
