These strings are the ones I use on all my guitars, they are perfect both for standard and drop tunings and last about a month or two or even more, depending on how hard and how often you play. On Fender scale guitars, they work from standard to Drop B without losing definition, while on Gibson scales I wouldn't advise going lower than C. The thicker D string makes the G string harder to bend but it's not a huge problem, you only have to get used to it. Also, all the rumors about skinny top, heavy bottom strings warping your neck are completely false, don't worrt about it.
