5916 H Modern Soprano Recorder : A pleasure to play and a learning experience

I've played the Alto version for some years and found it easy to play and very satisfactory in the key features: strength of low notes and easy reach for the highest notes. So I expected the Soprano to be the same.. I have not had it long and feel I am still learning it.

The low notes are very strong and melodious and easy to play at volume. Some of the notes in the higher registers are not sounding true yet but I am expecting that more pracitce will make them clearer. I have found I need to add an extra finger to some of the higher notes; the D in particular is quite sharp.

The keys on the B model are a little compact compared with the Alto. Again I am assuming that practice will make perfect.

I hope to be able to report progress at a later date.

Make no doubt. This is a fine instrument. My group are all very impressed with the sound and the ease of playing.
