A2.6FB Baritone : Extraordinary

6 years ago

The guitars sold by Ola Englund are pieces of art.

This FBM Baritone was on my mind as soon as it hit the streets. The finish is unbelievably gorgeous and the guitar itself feels very solid. The neck feels somewhere between a Jackson and a Schecter in my opinion.

The headstock really finishes off the metal look of the guitar. The quality of this guitar had surprised me as it is not possible to test it or see it anywhere near to my location.

The sound is very good. However as I am used to active EMG's it took a while to get used to. Playing good old carcass riffs and solos makes this guitar look good. I didn't try new strings yet but they could make a difference, depending on what tuning you would like to play this guitar in.

Still need to play this through a top tier amp such as a Mesa to feel what it really has to offer.

Pros:

-Exclusive guitar;

-Great paint finish;

-Solid guitar, really likes the downtuned riffs

-5 way switch gives versatility

Cons:

-I am hoping the matte finish will not become glossy in some areas
