SM57 LC : Perfect for a Guitar Amp - not really flexible

I bought this microphone for my guitar amp. It is perfect to get a classical sound from my Marshall AFD100.

A lot of people think, that the sound depends only on the guitar and amplifier you use, but the microphone has such a massive influence.

The classical Rock-Sound is a JCM800 through a 1960 Cabinet ... and a SM57. You need that microphone, if you want to recreate the sound of the old masters.

The quality is quite solid and you get a small bag for carrying.

The SM57 isn´t really good for singing. There are some voice which are allright with it, but usually the High-Mid peak doesn´t fit.

All in all I am satisfied with it, but you have to know that you won´t buy a linear, flexible microphone. Use it for a guitar amp or a snare and it´s perfect.
