I use with my Conklin Groove Tool 7 string bass. This set is taper core end - be ready to re-adjust your bass bridge, especially if you are using convenient strings. Very good and high quality strings set!
pros
Very good tonal characteristic: deep lows and crisp high. Fingerstyle groove sounds fundamental and aggresive. For slap and tap is good, if this caliber is good for you. Tension is high (on my instrument). String life is more than other Dean Markley sets (Blue Steel). High (C, F) strings very long life.
Cons
Tension of strings can be lower, but some bass player prefer high tension strings.
