SSM 5 : Does what it meant to do

I'm recording myself in my bedroom, and the house where my flat is located isn't real new and any soundproof at any point. That's why I wanted to exclude any noises coming through cable hitting the membrane. I have a Shure SM58, so I bought this Shock Mount after a small research which should do, and after receiving and mounting it, it fitted perfectly. The plastic fills good, not premium, but not cheap either. So far, so good, all the records are flawless, noiseless in regards of non-source derived interferences. Would suggest mindlessly.
