Midi Fighter Twister Black : Good generic controller

I bought the Twister mainly to be able to control soft-synth parametres within Maschine live - as my controller for Maschine is the Mikro Mk2 - hence it lacks the hardware rotary encoders needed for me to be able to manipulate synth patches from Massive in real-time during a jam.

Hardware-wise, I can't fault it - it's of really really high quality - and durable to the extent that I've incorporated it into my live Maschine rig.

My gripe with it pertains to the software - it's really cumbersome, counterintuitive and not properly documented - hence initial setup does take a bit of tinkering.

Once you've got it going, though, it does go without a hitch - Maschine recognized it each time and has accurately mapped each Learn command to the Twister's encoders each and every time.

I would have expected - for the price, at least - that the software would have been a bit more frictionless.
