TG2 500 Preamp : brilliant
Crisp, detailed, open transparent sound. Having the fine and coarse controls enable you to maximise your input levels to get just the amount of drive you want and I love the chickenhead controls. Meaty build quality, everything feels absolutely solid. Switchable impedance nice to have (although in my experience, the higher impedance always sounds better on any mic) Although it has a line/mic switch, would have been nice to have a jack DI input. Not a dealbreaker for me, I like miking amps anyway Yes, it's expensive but it feels and sounds expensive too.
