K-271 MKII : Fantastic fairly low priced studio headphones

I'm on my second pair of these K-271s now having originally upgraded from K-171s years ago. Really love these and have had no reason to move on to anything else really.

The first big plus was the larger earpieces on these closed headphones. Certainly made playback easier to deal with when recording at home with noise out of my control more likely. I will say, however, that if you wear these for hours without a break they can start to hurt your ears a little.

The sound is excellent. Opinions may well vary on the "flatness" and I'll leave that discussion to people who know more about it than I do, but these have been perfect for recording and playback. When I need to do rough mixes with these instead of monitors they have been very reliable.

These have done me just fine for a long time now whether it's for recording or just listening for music. Can't think of anything better for the price either. Highly recommended.
