Opsix : A sound designers dream synth

I'm absolutely blown away with the possibilities which the opsix gives you and the excellent interface it offers to allow you to get to them quickly. The hardware has a quality feel, with the notable exception of the keyboard. It's not terrible, but it is a bit plasticky feeling and offers no aftertouch, which is a real shame on a synth which breaths mainly through it's superb modulation options.

Having FM, ring (amplitude) modulation, filter FM and a wave wrapper to choose from - per operator! - a good selection of basic waveforms, three excellent effects with identical options (three shimmer reverbs in series anyone?), (motion) sequencing, tons of modulation destinations and a even a user algorithm makes this one of the best if not the best FM synth out there.

They've recently been discontinued, so if you want one now is the time. In the US they're being dumped for $329, but if there's any justice in the synth world they'll sell out before anyone else can order one.

It's a keeper and I'm thinking future classic.
