DeepMind 12D : Definite depth
A lot of onboard presets, but it's definitly build to build your own. The effects are very effective, I do prefer to ad a subtle amount so it won't lose the feel of the analog.
It has a tender, gentle vibe, which lends itself very well to build dreamy pads and such. It's very cheap, and almost entirely in a good way. The controller knobs feel a bit, well, cheap... And it lacks someting to keep dust from getting in through the slider gaps. But maybe they're better left open because of the fan, sucking in air (blowing it out). The fan has not bin an issue for me at all though, but it is noticable when you don't play it, on standard setting.
I bought it, and I kept it, so I think it's safe to say that I would recommend the Deepmind, when a subtractive polysynth with a lot of depth is what you are looking for, when you're on a budget.
