I think from this price range and above all the speakers are good, everything else is subjective and to tase.

That being said, the performance of these are fantastic, highs are clear and articulate (everyone who has listened to them have complimented on how fantastic the highs are). Very detailed, reverbs and everything can be heard, every detail. Bass is a bit quiter then I would have expected, specially when changing from the more low end speakers, because you get not more bass, but more clear bass and at first it might seem as if it's less bass, but once you get used to it it all becomes clear. For hip hop and other low end music I would think of adding a sub too. My room is fairly well treated, not the best studio in the world but all in all i don't need to go check on millions of speakers and in many different places.

They are not too flattening and if you get them to sound good it will sound great (you'll have to work a bit for it) on other systems too.

Super Detailed and Revealing

I've upgraded my studio from Adam S2X to these S3H and I'm more than happy.

They keep the same sound signature of S2X which I liked, but the soundstage is incredible (it's like having a wall of sound in front of the listening position) and the level of audible details in the mid range is amazing.

Listening to some of my reference tracks showed some flaws that were hidden or not so obvious in the old, smaller ones.

I still have to try the on-board DSP since as soon as I connected them I simply loved their sound as is.

Frequency-wise, they go lower than S2X but I'm still using them paired with a Subwoofer for mixing sub/rumble sound effects.

The price is a bit steep, but once you start using them you forget about it.
