AKAI Professional MPD 232
USB Controller

Does the job, a little too bulky
The MPD series has issues with build quality in many batches. Two controllers from different batches can have different trigger response, so it's best to test each unit before purchase or be ready to fine-tune triggers.
The unit I got was ok. The feature set is great, this one of the not-so-many controllers that has a built-in sequencer good enough for live performances. At this price point it's worth the money.
The sequencer workflow takes a little getting used to. Although inferior to Arturia Beatstep, it's still a decent sequencer.
