Alexis dm10 mkII PRO

It's an overall good drum set, I would prefer individual cables instead of cable snake but it does Its job. The mesh quality is good but I don't really like the feel. It's not very loud though. The sound is good and has many options. The toms are good but the cymbals are mediocre.

Great Kit

Had this kit for nearly a year now and still going strong, with very little signs of wear and no loss in playability. I wouldn't say I am a heavy hitter, but certainly not a soft hitter either!

I feel for the price you get good return for your money as you get 4 x full size toms, a 12" snare, hi-hat, hi hat pedal, bass drum, 2 x crash and ride.

Setting up the kit was very simple.

The playability of the mesh heads is very good, toms and snare a good size but the cymbals I would rate as only ok. They just don't have that feel of acoustic cymbals...but this I knew was going to be the case so wasn't a surprise.

The only issue I have had is out of the box I found the crash cymbals trigger to be temperamental, and quite often a hit wouldn't register. But after adjusting the settings this improved and now only very rarely do I experience issues. Pretty sure with further adjustments I could eradicate this fully.

The preset kits sound good, and plenty of scope to customise your own kits also.

Overall though I am very pleased, and would highly recommend this kit.

My new kit

I have this for a couple of moths now.

So far so good.

The only downside is the rack assembly plastic parts.

Anyway, so far, so good, lets see how is reacts along the way.

Good drum kit to get started

In general, it's a good drum kit. After almost 2 years using it fairly frequent, I can say it has stood the test of time, and I can't notice any important wear or loss of overall quality.

It is very hard to find details about this product.

I use this product to learn drumming at home.

The sound is very nice, the feel is good, the for a beginner it's the perfect tool, as close as possible to the real acoustic drum sets and still silent.

The biggest con is that the trigger configuration that the kit comes with for the cymbals cases a hit to not be detected, one needs to hit pretty hard in order to produce the awaited noise.

Also i found that the bass drum is louder then the rest of the drums, always found my self lowering the bass drum sound in order to play for each of the voices. It only features 1 triple zone cymbal, the hihat is dual zone and the ride is triple zone, the crashes (it has 2, ar triple zone, but the drum module dosn't have inputs for the third zone trigger, so it is unused, one additional trigger module could be used to trigger these as well and feed the signal as a midi information in the main drum module midi in port. I would have liked a tripple zone snare as well.

The pro outweigh the negative in my opinion.

Nice setup, nice sounds, powerful drum module, fast kit and sound loading,

UPDATE: i hate the cymbals ... feel the need to update to zildjian gen16 esymbols and use the input for maybe additional toms ? or cowbell .... then feed the zildjian digital cymbal processor output in the aux input of the drum module.... I just wish i could try them before i buy them....
