It's good.

They lack bass/low end

they have ok mids/highs.

would recommend for casual listening/for movies/ they are not really monitoring speakers IMO

they are OK I guess, but they are......eh

the Alesis m1 330 are better than these, so go for those instead.

VALUE FOR MONEY

A great pair for listening to music the bass bost makes a tone of difference.

I havent used them for mixing but the sound seems preaty accurate.

While they are smal they have a lot of power, you will propably never turn them more than 12 o clock.

great product for a company with long history.

A Common Fault

I had to return these before really getting to use them as the seem to suffer a common fault (look up high pitch noise online)

There is an issue with its internal power supply, it emits a loud irritating 15k whine as soon as connected to the mains supply, this is without anything else connected. when you turn it off the noise continues for 30 seconds. its not coming from the speakers but inside the Speaker housing. and its not a grounding issue but something wrong with the internal power supply. I am not the only one who had this issue.

Also they could have done without the bass enhance switch as they are monitors not hi-fi stereo speakers, and as such should reflect the audio without enhancement.

and then there is the 4 week wait for replacements.

In the end I just requested a refund.

Great pair of studio monitors for the price!

A nice little pair of active nearfield monitors for not a lot of money. They are more than capable for the hobbyist as they are right at home in a home/project studio environment. The only thing I find a bit silly is the bass boost switch because it makes them sound a bit flubby and also who wants a bass boost on studio monitors? They are supposed to be flat with no boosts whatsoever.
