This little thing here just changed the way I was learning scratching. It just feels so much smoother and easier to perform some techniques it's really an unbelievable shift from any standard type of crossfader. I set it up on my Traktor Z2 which was sort of plug and play so I just needed to remove the mini Innofader that comes and I can confirm it's an easy thing to do. I also think the price is more than fair regarding the quality of the product.

After some considerable use the original crossfader on my DDM4000 needed replacing and the X1 optical fader represented a significant upgrade for a small amount more than the standard replacement item. The fader came with good fitting instructions but I did find space a bit tight when clipping the cable into place. If you have fat fingers I would suggest removing the whole faceplate and not just the faderplate to fit this fader. You can set the cut in from each side so its perfect for scratch djs. The tension setting doesnt seem to tighten things up too much so the fader glides very smoothly. I dont see this being an issue as scratch Djs will only really be potential buyers for this.
