It works great

I've never had a PA speaker and I bought it for rather unconventional use - personal use for listening to music. I debated between something more consumer oriented like the JBL PartBoxes and what not, but decided for a PA speaker for better upgrade options. I narrowed down my options to Alto TS415/412 and EV ZLX 15/12. I picked Alto as it had bluetooth, was cheaper, from videos I saw online it seemed to be really decent. Picked 15 inch version as the price difference between 12 inch one was very small and I do not have a subwoofer. Also in my opinion EV has same issues w/ knobs previous Alto generation is being criticized for. Overall I cannot actually tell how good or bad it is in the PA world, as I have nothing to really compare it against. But from what my experience has been, for what I have used it, it is really good. I actually even placed an order for a second one. For anyone wondering how it sounds compared to a consumer speaker, then I have heard the JBL PartyBox 310 and I think the Alto 415 sounds better. For people wondering 12 inch or 15 inch, as I was - I think there really is no correct answer and just about every answer you find online has some bias and specific reasons why the person has such an opinion. I picked 15 because it is bigger, supposedly more bass and I don't have a subwoofer. Perhaps one day I will have tried EV speakers, 12 inch versions and tried different setups with and without subwoofers and I could write a more comparative review. For now though, I rate the speaker 5/5 - it is great build quality, sounds great, looks great, works great.

Needs some Improvement

I already have Alto ts310's and use them often. The 310's sound amazing at 0db (12 o clock position) and have plenty of power. However, the 415's need to be cranked all the way up to get the same amount of power. They also need some bluetooth system improvement to eliminate the need for mix out cable linking between speakers which are already bluetooth stereo linked, to enable a mic which is plugged into the first speaker to travel along the chain. Alto are a great brand but just didn't quite live uo to my expectations this time.

The best and hight quality, very ballanced sound

I upgrade from the twin Behringer b615d to the twin Alto ts415 and difference is huge, the bass is very deep and overall sound is very ballaned even on high gain level, i already had couple of gigs and after 7.5 hourse continious playng there were no any sign of heating ( i was very curious and personnaly checked it after a gig) totally recomended from me.

Not impressed

I got these speakers to upgrade from a paid of DB Technologies 12s thinking the Altos would have way more power for bigger venues they did not and sound very poor they get hot. They say they are 2500watts may be on paper but most definitely are not. If your doing small venues yes they would be a good speaker but for weddings for over 200 people save money go to a different brand save your money

Not exactly what's on the box. Lack of power . Did not live up to my expectations.

Bought a pair of Alto TS415

Fancied a change and thought a pair of active speakers.

Normally use EV ELX115

Was expecting the Alto to blow my EV's away but unfortunately they did the opposite.

For a small venue the Alto would be ideal but for a larger room ( with passive bins ) not so good .
