Ampeg PF-800 Portaflex
Bass Head

Fantastic sound. Know issues make it unusable for gigs
Completely unreliable/unusable: I have been an Ampeg customer for more than 30 years. I absolutely love the sound their amps produce and this head creates that same characteristic thump. I was delighted for almost a year and a half when all of the sudden the sound started cutting out without warning. I had to turn the amp off, wait a while, and then turn it back on to get sound again. Of course, this is completely unacceptable if you are playing live with a group. After investigating, it is clear that this is a known issue and has happened to many other people on various Ampeg models. This amp is worthless if it is not reliable. For the first time in my career, I am going to have to look at different brands. I am bitterly disappointed.
Great amp - Pure Ampeg plus portability
I am very happy with the amp - delivers pure Ampeg sound plus I can carry it in a small bag ( good for my back!). I own also 200W Ampeg hybrid combo and the sound is almost identical. Strongly reccomended!
ampeg pf-800
An extremely well sounding amplifier for a extremely nice price.
Exacly what i was looking for.
I am using it with a PF115HE and a PF210HE
as well as with a SVT 410HE
Works very good, no problems.
I will probably buy one more and recommends it to everyone . . .
