Amaran P60c

I bought these panels mainly to integrate with the Sidus app which I use to control my Amaran 100Ds, but these are PHENOMENALLY better than the pair of cheap GVM panels I used to use. I took them along to test at a comedy gig this weekend and they must have been twice as bright as the 8 LED PAR cans the venue had onstage- they really put them to shame. They have really intense colours, and the whites feel as bright as my 100Ds. Only scope I would like to see for improvement is better ability to control lights live from the app in a gig situation mixing panels and white lights (admittedly not what these are aimed at) and the availability of barn doors to control the light spill from the panels (although the included soft box and grid are admittedly both a great touch, it would be brighter...
Aputure LS 600D V-Mount
Based on 1 reviews
We work with slow motion cameras and need powerful lights. Being our ecosystem based on Aputure we have chosen the 600d (non-pro) for our indoor studio shooting needs. The light is less expensive than the "pro" version but only has a couple of major features less: it's not water-proof and light increments are not decimals: we considered the above factors and the price difference when choosing the "non-pro" version. Lights work great and are totally flicker free - even at 800 fps. Coupling them with the F10 Fresnels and barndoors, in my opinion, is essential to maximize the light output and control. Aputure remains our favorite brand for pro-lighting considering its price-performance ratio, the availability of Amaran lights (with lower budgets and similar...
Aputure LS 300X V-Mount-Kit (EU)
Based on 1 reviews
Aputure as a brand is becoming an industry standard for video creators. This LS 300X is exceptionally well built, has all the features you may need from a light (especially using it with Sidus Link app), has long cables which is more important than you may think and has an accurate and decent light output. Sure, it's not the most powerful light and may struggle a bit in harsh daylight, that's the price for versatility, but it is perfect fo indoor use. For outside, probably it's bigger brother the 600x is better.
Elgato Key Light

Awesome lamp, I like the fact that it's controlled over wifi. The light color is adjustable within a reasonable range. BUT - My current setup has the Keylight stand within 20 cm or so of my microphone arm, with the cable from the microphone coming down along the arm. When the Keylight is on it causes tons of static in the audio from the microphone. Tried filtering it out using a preamp, no real luck. So at this point I simply cannot use the light when also using the mic. Which makes it kind of useless. I got the light for better lighting in Zoom/Teams calls, when recording tutorial videos etc. I'll see how far the Keylight has to be removed for the static to disappear, hopefully it'll be enough to just rearrange things around the desk..
