Great for Oldtime/Lower tunings.
These sound brighter than original nylgut. They are a little louder and brighter with more tensionâ¦.great for Open F or E tuning if that suits your voice. If you raise and lower your drone string often for different tunings the g drone string will have a drastically shorter life. I love these string. I donât use them for street music or gigs anymore but I definitely would use them for recording or for a second banjo that can remain in one tuning
