Excellent build quality, easily adjustable settings, simple operation. I had read the few reviews available - mainly on forums - which were very favourable; some people claim it is the best phonostage that they’ve ever heard regardless of price. My experience is very limited but its clearly better that the £1000 Tom Evans Microgroove X plus 2.5 it replaced, which in turn was better than anything around the £1000 mark IMO. In summary, the Phono SPL is amazingly detailed, punchy, fast, dynamic, with tight well rounded bass.a

Been using for 6 months now, its solid. Does exactly whats its supposed to do. I had been using a dj mixer because ofthe RIAA equalization matter on old technics. No more huge mixer in the table, saves alotta space. Good sound quality and simple design.

This does the job. I wanted to avoid having a DJ mixer to have my turntable connected to my sampler. This does the wonderful job and it sounds quiet. Almost a Hi-Fi class. It does have some design issues. Like Grounding port is too close to cable. And I just don't get about Power adapter via 3.5mm. Also to make it really stable, it should be "mounted" on wooden surface sort of, but I am not using it that way. Otherwise highly recommended.

I own this preamp for almost a year and I'm very happy with it. When I bought a new amplifier without a phono input, I needed a preamp to hook up my record player. I can honestly say that this thing transfers the sound just fine and I noticed no loss of sound or any other issues.
