ATV aDrums Artist Series Basic

Using the kit for recording and rehearsals. The overall feel is very good.

Had a problem with one of the cymbals though... The edge sensor failed in like two months. Solved the problem through the warranty but had to wait for another two months... I really hope I won't have any other problems with the kit in the future.

Update: After using them for over an year, the plastic bottom of 3 cymbals (2x crash and 1x ride) cracked. They still worked, but felt clunky. I got replacements for all 3. I reduced the review's item quality.

Bought this ATV adrums Basic + AD5 to replace my old Yamaha DTXtreme iis. The difference is astonishing !

Really beautiful piece of instrument, and incredible to play.

The drumkit feels great and natural to play.

The sounds and sensitivity of the drum module are really outstanding, and feel very much acoustic. The samples are particularly very rich and long, which gives the impression to sit on a real kit. And even if I'm no hard hitter, I want to hit it hard just to feel the bombastic response of the kit and the module !

The drum module is very simple in the sense that it doesn't offer as much customization as others, but is rather meant to be directly plugged and played.

Last comment: I prefer playing it on PM than headphone (the latter doesn't sound as good as an amplified sound).
