I have two pairs, first I bought was much, much more expensive than today you can buy, and I am very lucky to have them. I use Roland RH-200 at on-locations recordings (mostly acoustic music concerts) and later at home to master recordings made. Pros: Sound is rich and tasty, in the same time clear so you can hear all bad things recorded. I have used other headphones too - there sound was very dry, but possibility to hear defects of recording - the same. Headphones are closed type, and really sounds from outside do not reach your ears. Cons: Althought they are over-ear, my earlobes are being pressed and after long hours of work they start to pain. And during years of using defect as cracle at some frequencies occour. I think next headphones I will buy will be the same. I have tried...

This is the second pair of AIAIAI DJ headphones I have bought. The first pair were stolen from a gig and I wanted the exact same ones again as I have been very happy with them. They fit tight on the head which initially is a bit uncomfortable but reassuring they will not slip when using on one ear for mixing. The sound is good - crisp with tight bass and good isolation from the room when both ears are covered. I like the design - clean lines, simple and stylish looking. The only downsides for me are that the price almost doubled since I last bought a pair which made me think twice (but went ahead in the end) and also the first pair I bought arrived with a hard case whereas now only a soft bag is provided and there doesn;t seem to be another option.

This is my second pair of HD25's I use them for live sound engineering and in my home studio. It's a classic design as it's always been and give a honest sound with a tight bass response just like my last pair. The only thing I can see that's been added is the choice of cable curly or straight included in the box and they are slightly more pricy. These are the industry standard for most live sound engineers, cameramen and DJ's and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. You can't really add anything glad nothing has been taken away.

i have owned the m40x and m50 for years and bought this as a spare, but wow! it sounds much flatter and a lot less artificially "hyped" than its more expensive brethren. a little harsh around the high mids extending to the low treble range (slightly harsh S's), but that's about it. it sounds more neutral overall and a lot better for mixing, in my opinion. i guess its less exciting sound and cheaper make is a little off putting for most people, but it sounds great to me. i can listen for hours on end without fatigue. quite surprised and impressed. tight bass (super deep with sonarworks!), great sound isolation and comfortable to wear (uncomfortable at first but it stretched to accommodate my big head). i definitely recommend these puppies!

Ok, so these are first impressions, I've not had them long enough for a real comfort test yet. So, the t.bone HD 1800 headphones have actually seriously surprised me. Right from the get go, the experience has been a good one. The unboxing experience was nice as the headphones where well packaged in a very nice case and there were even some other goodies to discover. The first thing that made me actually go wow was the 4m mini jack extension cable. Now, both the extension cable and the one actually connected to the headphones both look like very good quality cable that should last well with rugged use. I?ve ordered 3 of these to be used in my recording studio as monitoring headphones for musicians. Inicialy i was considering the ATH-M50 (the non X version) wich i already own a pair an absolutely love the sound but i?ve decided to give the M40's a try after reading some positive reviews, keeping in mind that i could always send them back and get the M50's instead. Pretty flat frequency response. Good reference headphones for monitoring, composing or mixing. I'm no DJ so I can't say if they will be loud enough to use in a club. They are foldable and come with a velvet bag. Cable is detachable but is 3 meters long, so not the best for using on portable players or something like that. You can get shorter cables for cheap on eBay though, so that's alright, but I just wish AKG would include a shorter cable in the box along with the long cable.
