Amazing for the price

Pros: Amazing clarity, punch and performance.

They are able to produce a loud clear sound and the closed cup helps a lot. The ear pads stood well and remained comfortable even after a 4-6 hour daily use.

They give a slight discomfort after prolonged use, but i have not found any headphones that don't (plus, it feels like a subjective matter).

Cons: Lately the coils have started rattling a lot even at low-mid volume. Then again i can't fault a 55 euro purchase after lasting 2 full years.

Also, the cable is very long and heavy, making it hard to use on the road if you don't have somewhere to hide it.

They do need replacing as they are, but would i choose Audio Technica headphones again? Oh yes!

The next ones are going to be the M50 as i do feel they are at least equally great but with a detachable cable and a better power handling.

Excellent value

Incredible sound for the money. A bit bass heavy, but I find that pleasing for tracking.

Bedroom Guitar Practicing Headphones

I have bout these for silent guitar practicing. I also wanted to have extra headphones for decent and simple music (or podcast) listening. They are pretty good for the price range I must say. It does both things I bought it for pretty well. They are pretty comfortable, easy to use. Pros: 1) value for money; 2) quite comfortable even after hours of having the on; 3) the sound is really good; 4) a small pro - comes with nice and comfy bag; 5) the jack adapter is very nice and holds tight. Cons: 1) a slight buzz when playing low E string; 2) after longer use,it gets too warm for your ears. To summarize, great value for money.

great

These are great. I was unsure when I ordered them, due to the price. However, they have proven me wrong. They are also great to use in a live room for recording, they mute out so much outside noise its not even funny. Great, will buy a few more.

These work great for silent guitar plying

I use these headphones for silent guitar playing / practicing, not studio recording / mixing, so my review may be "amateurish" but for my use and needs they are great.

They're very comfortable and I don't feel any discomfort even after long use. More importantly they're "easy on the ears", compared to cheaper headphones I had, which after one hour of use felt like they're pushing your eardrums into your head.

I have them for several months, for the price build quality is OK, I would prefer if they weren't foldable at all because that part of them seems most flimsy, but so far I had no issues with them in any regard.

If stolen would I buy again? Yes!

Good headphones

Very good quality for the price. Well padded ear-cups, solid build quality.

great value for the money

For this price I think this headphone stands at the top. It doesn't really impress on particular parts, but the sound is clear and has a good energy. Most headphones at this price have at least something annoying like too much bass or harshness. This one is comfortable to listen to and to wear. Great for extra tracking headphones in my studio

Perfect For The Home Studio

These earphones are great for the price. They have a good flat frequency response , like most audio technica products. The built quality is not optimal but at this low price the sound makes up for it. The metal sliders don?t slide in very easily making the process of adjusting the bands feel sketchy even though they are strong enough to not break. However the hinges do move a bit to smoothly making them feel somewhat to turning. All of this is completely normal for an entry level headset. However , these are amazing to work with in a studio environment. I use my Yamaha hs7s to make the important and use these to double check my mix. I also use these mainly for the vocalists. All my clients seem to love them. The long cable provides great freedom to move. This pair is a must buy if you are looking for a cheap yet quality secondary studio sound source.

Very satisfied

I use them mostly for home recording, mixing and generally playing the guitar and they provide an excellent sound quality. I really satisfied with product and I really recommend it.

Good Quality

They have a well-balanced sound that's suitable for listening to music and watching movies and playing instruments. Also since they're wired, they have no latency when watching videos however the audio cable does limit their range.

They're Ok.

The ATH-M30 X's are ok. They do the job nicely. But not very suitable for use when mixing. They're quite bass-heavy. I have some of the other ATH headphones which are excellent for mixing purposes.

But the M30's are perfectly fine for tracking. And they are very comfortable to wear for extended periods. Definitely worth having a few pairs in your live room!!!

The build quality and overall look and feel of the ATH M30 X headphones is excellent. But I wouldn't expect anything else from a company such as Audio Technica.

If you have an extra ¤30 to spend, get the M40's. There's a world of a difference. And for around ¤140 you'll get the M50's which blow most of the competition away!!!

I use these headphones mainly for mixing audio, but also for gaming, and they are great, not only in terms of sound, but in what comes to build quality. The only reason this product doesn't get the 5 stars is the cable, which is not dettachable, which is desired in headphones with such pricetag.

Well built, comfortable. Good tonal range, bass present but not overpowering. Clear crisp vocals. Best used without EQ and be prepared to turn the volume down a notch. A suitable replacement for my MDR-V6's that finally expired after 15 years.

Loving them.
