Better than more expensive microphones!

Crisp, clear and strong

Took a chance with Audix few years ago and never looked back, they are a great mic, lovely frequency for vocals, I def prefer it to my sm58 which I retired since

I love Audix mics

Great build, feedback is a thing of the past, they feel robust, and if this OM3 was good enough for Bruce Springsteen, then it's good enough for me.

spare mike

bought this mike as a spare but quality is so good i now use this as a main mike.

Excellent live mic

I've been using it for rehearsals and live performances.

Pros:

Rugged. I've been carrying it in my gig bag for some time now and have had no issues.

Great sound quality, I really like how my voice sounds through this mic.

Cons

This is a minor concern, but with some XLR connectors the fit is really tight. As in you need to apply quite a bit of force to push the connector all the way in.

A great step up

I've used SM58s for years and still swear by them for most vocal applications - however, when a step up is required I LOVE the OM3. Great quality, fantastic sound and offers a higher feedback threshold than my trusty 58s. Haven't used the OM3 for long but so far very impressed.

A decent mic

I've always tried to look outside the box (SM58). This performs very well compared to any mic at its price range (of which I have tried many). The sound itself is great. There's no on/off switch, that's a small handicap. And it's not a miracle maker, if you aim it in less than optimum angle considering sound sources, it will feedback, like most microphones. Even while feedback eliminated by a touch of EQ, this mic produces a pleasant sound, at least on male voice. Does not suit female voice very well.
