Joranalogue Audio Design Fold 6

A great companion for your Generate 3, if you like joranalogue modules which always have very good built quality and great sound. This one is no exception. You get 6 steps of wavefolding and a symmetry control which gives you a broader palette to explore. The 2 outputs with different flavors (serial and parallel) is an amazing feature and I particularly like the 2 inputs so you can mix 2 signals.
Erica Synths Plasma Drive

If you want to inroduce subtile warm saturation to your sound - this module is not for you. It’s always obvious Plasma Drive is there with it’s specific character. This is a tool to destroy your sound, which is something I wanted exactly, and which Plasma Drive does the best. 5 stars all across the board
Tiptop Audio Fold Processor

using this wave folder in my modular set up sounds great on everything , sine, triangle, beats! and the cv control is very fluid. I've only scratched the subdivision but it adds some low harmonics and sounds great as well it would be great if there was cv control for those also but even still its a great module for the price.

This is pure filth. Loads of gain options but the feedback circuit is where the characters shines especially if you chain this AFTER your VCA. It would have been great to have CV control over the mix but there are other ways to achieve this within a rack.
Intellijel Designs Bifold

I was looking for a way to delve into some analog wavefolding and am very happy with the results I'm getting from the Bifold/DOC combo. The parallel AND serial options let me play with both Buchla and Serge flavors. It's such a change from the various flavors of subtractive and FM synthesis I've been used to for the past 30 years. On an intimately related note, while waiting for the Bifold I also got a "Capt Big O" just to muck about with. The three combined made a perfect trifecta and excellent foundation for a wavefolding skiff that will satisfy my curiosity for a long time to come.
Doepfer A-137-1 Wave Multiplier I

Everyone needs a wavefolder. It took me some time to properly grasp this module, but now it makes it's way into almost every patch I make. You can get a huge range of sounds! It's best fed with a triangle or sine as the wave folding circuit adds lots of harmonics to the signal. Adding some slow modulations to the "symmetry" and "harmonics" inputs can create an ever changing sound that never sounds the same twice! A great tip I learned with this is to keep the input level down low, it is easy to overdrive, and by doing that you may miss the subtle morphing waveshapes that this module excels so well at. A small issue I have with this is the depth, it's a little bit deeper than most modules so it may have trouble fitting in a shallow case. (No problem using any of...
Doepfer A-136

I found this to add less distortion and more of a general fuzz/amp module giving the sound a bit louder/thicker sound than the perceived distortion that you would achieve, but as always, great build quality and a lovely module to add to the collection, great for beefing up bass lines created on a modular.

Bought this as my first waveform processing module for my very minimalist (read a beginner) modular synth. Used with the A-110 VCO a mixer for the sine & tri waves into the Wasp filter the amount of sound variation is amazing - everything from growling to almost ring modulation. Highly recommended especially at the price.
