Great starter module

Must have of course if you're building a system 100 but would also make a great vco in any starter system. You get 2 identical VCOs that can be synced with lots of modulation options and even a modulation mixer built.

Utile

Un oscillateur assez basique mais relativement solide en dépit de la mauvaise qualité des potards, qui peuvent toujours être remplacés par d'autres si vous le souhaitez.

One of the best Oscilator module

Currently, I have four of this Behringer 112! , they are very versatile. I use 2 for bass duty and the other two for poly (use it with ACL sinfonion). The sounds are very good, from dirty to silky smooth. They are very stable too in terms of the note.

Horrible tuning issues

Have revision B of this and it can't stay 1 V/oct calibrated for more than 3 minutes. This is absolutely useless for melodic content spanning more than a fifth. Care must be taken not to breathe on the tuning knob - very lightly tapping it moves the tuning by 10-20 cents.

True to the original, the saw is 0-10V while the triangle is -5-5V which is annoying. Excellent for sweeps or modulated content where accurate octave tracking is not needed.

Great VCO design by Roland well reproduced by Behringer.

This VCO has a beautiful sound. I had to tune it with the screws on the back, but it was a simple process - given you have a tuner at hand. Although the tuning stability has been improved (according to behringer on this V2) the module needs to warm for at least 1h to maintain a decent tuning. The sound surely has the temperament of a true analog vco, which is always a plus imo. The weak and strong options for sync can deliver great timbres when modulated, well worth experimenting with.

Great for FM!

Excellant quality of panel and knowbs. Really handy for FM sounds. Get it!

Cheap but feature-packed

I got this module because I wanted a cheap analogue oscillator. For this purpose it's great, as it is essentially two oscillators for half the money. You have to be not too picky about what you get though. My two biggest issues are stated below:

When it came in the tuning was way off, not even 2 octaves proper tuning. On the back there are trimmerpots to adjust the tuning, and after 20 minutes of tuning I got both to track properly across at least 5 octaves. I haven't taken it to other locations, but I imagine temperature differences might make it drift again.

Another (smaller) issue: the tuning knob on the front is very easy to bump and at some point you will do this and it will mess up your patch. It's is annoying but not a dealbreaker.

The biggest warning I would give is: only buy this when you can comfortably re-tune it. If you don't have access to a tuner, buy something else (or buy a tuner too:) )

Very okay compact dual vco. Negatives: no simultaneous different waveform outputs, no sinewave, no knob for wide range pitch. Its primarily oriented towards conservative chromatic pitch use. What I like primarily is the fact that there are two of them, so I can do crosswise FM, also given the fact that each vco has 3 contol inputs with attenuation. Hm, in the conservative orientation I'm a sucker for synchronised fm-timbres and this module does most of that totally elegantly, apart from the fact that I cannot sweep either oscillators pitch on the module itself over a big range. Using external cv the pitch goes from ultra- to subsonic so there are work arounds. I have some wide range vco's so this one is a welcome addition.

VCO

Lovely VCO. Good sound and flexibility. It would have been nice to have the different waveforms available separately. But there is a lot packed in to the module. Two VCOs for the price its excellent. the knobs are small and sometimes difficult to get to. All in all I love it.
