Good product, value for money, but with room for improvement
Overall, Behringer FBQ6200HD is a good graphic equaliser, allowing you to shape the audio signal as needed, but there is room for improvement, as follows:
- being a rack unit, it is not practical to place the on/off button on back of the unit
- it would have been nice to see some dust protection on the faders panel
- the input and output level meters readings seems to be off by about 6 dB. I verified this symptom using three mixers, from different brands, and when the mixers master output level meters indicate 0 dB, the level meters on Behringer FBQ6200HD reads -6 dB and their ballistics are slower.
- although it offers a dedicated subwoofer output, with variable crossover, it lacks the option to set a delay for the subwoofer and so you are compelled to place the subwoofer in the same plane with the main speakers.
Great EQ, especially for its price.
This is a great EQ. For its price.
I took away one star for one reason. Starting from 0bd the are 5+5 unmarked lines upwards and downwards along each frequency slider. Considering the range is either +/- 12db or +/-6db I can't comprehend who thought dividing the fader to 5 segments would make any sense...? If it was 6 lines it would be so easy landing on the desired boost. Now you have to think each line as 2.4db (or 1.2db). Is it a nitpick? Maybe. But If you have very specific targets to hit for 30 frequencies after careful room measurements, it's not.
Loaded with features and good value for money
Great equalizer, have a lot of controls and features to cater everyones preferences when it comes to audio. FBQ comes handy when it comes to detecting feedbacks. love it overall
Good if u need the dirty, tape like coloration.
Connectors are not that good and the on/off button is on the back....
good build & good price
I use this for eq'ing lapels for live sound. Has some great features like adjustable low/hi pass and sub output. Not sold on the feedback detector, it does work but I've never really used it, prefer using my ears. Have used this on the road for almost a year now and had no issues. Good kit for the price.
