Behringer U-Phoria UMC202HD Reviews
for the money, a really great deal
This product just works and for the money it can't be bettered. Driver installed without problems on W10. Sound is fine and without any perceptible noise, while driving 32ohm AKG K-92 headphones.
very nice and easy to use
It is my first audio interface. very easy to use and easy to carry to other places. it fits my violin case and is easily transported by train, plane, etc. I have already recommended dozens of fellow musicians and some of them have tried it and enjoyed the purchase. Does a very good job for its price and features.
Does what it says on the box and delivers the goods.
I've had one of these little boxes for over 5 years to use as the analogue-to-digital encoder input for my live stream shows on YouTube. Rock-solid reliability and transparent audio. If you don't need MIDI, this is a great 2-in, 2-out USB audio interface.
Best low price interface.
There is no need for a more expensive interface with same features as this one. It works perfectly for me, it's compact, light and does the job. The only reason i've got this one and not the next 204HD it's because of price. If you have condition to pay more, i recommend the other one for the feature of direct monitoring in mono/stereo. But anyway, you're good with this or the other one. Go for it!
It do the work!
This interface was used as a secondary interface on a setup for streaming purpose and it is perfect for it. It gives what it promises and from the beginning, it has been indispensable for the work.
For the price, it is a really good option.
Best USB Interface
It sounds great with very good built quality, you can't tell the difference between it and the expensive models out there. If you're looking for a USB interface this is all you need
Good interface for performances
I love Behringer audio intarfaces, cuz it has good quality and sounds like expencive audio intarface. I use this device, I like it's small size, and it fits in my every gigbags.
At live perfomances I use it with my laptop, but I don't use it for a record
Home studio for begginers that will do the trick for a certain period
I started recording guitar at home and I needed a relatively inexpensive audio interface with 2 channels that records in 24 bit. It is well built, with metallic housing and good and firm plastic parts. It is powered by USB cable when connected with computer. Both chanells (mic and instrument) have gain controls with clipping indicators. It also has real direct monitoring and phantom power for condenser mics. In all, it has everything you need to record guitar&bass or guitar&voice or any other combo except MIDI. I record my guitar with dinamic mic in front of the amp and it's almost studio quality. One drawback is that it doesn't have any software or even a driver ready - you have to dowload the driver from Behringer home page, and after driver installation you edit the settings in your DAW (I use Audacity and I started recording successfully only after I watched 2 videos on Youtube).
Good bang for the buck
This interface delivered unexpectedly a very high quality that is not so commonly associated with Behringer products - the preamp is clean and has very low noise, the headphone amp was clear and free of distortion.
If I could complain at all, the drivers for Windows and Mac are just... Sub par. ASIO driver in Windows are quite unreliable and sometimes requires a full restart of the system to get it to work. In Mac, sometimes using it with DAW results in unexplainable distortion.
All-in-all it was still a very pleasant experience and if you're looking a bang-for-the-buck, you might be pleasantly surprised at this interface.
Great little interface
Very easy to use and fantastic sound. Knobs to adjust input volume are responsive for mics and instruments and the box is built like a tank. Great for recording things at home or throwing into a bag and bringing to a jam session.
Good features
A little different approach then my previous Scalett Solo but found no negative points so far. More features and precise dynamics.
Really good
I've been using this little interface for a while now and honestly I've not encountered a single issue. Sound quality is nice, build is solid, the preamps are fine. Everything just works and the price is really reasonable.
Very good
Audio Interface with simple operation
Perfect
Doet wat je er van verwacht!
Great Reliable Purchase
Does exactly what you expect, great price point and good quality
Great value!
Simple interface which is perfect for anybody requiring minimal inputs and on a budget. Will look to upgrade down the line but has allowed good quality home recording to this point!
Great little device for home use
Great for recording at home and practicing.
Too disappointing.
I will leave behind the fact that on brand new studio monitors they work very quietly, because MAYBE it is the monitors to blame. But, the sound is not the best either. Plus on my effort to remove an XLR cable from it, I had to pull it so much, I ended up hitting my iMac and causing a bump on it. Not a convenient product at all.
Behringer does it again
Brilliant little piece of kit, I take it out with my laptop and it's brilliant.
Would buy again immediately if it went walkies.
Cheap and effective
I bought this along with a 'podcast' style mic because like many during the pandeminc I'm working from home and doing a lot more video calls and having a decent audio makes all the difference. I use a Sonntronics mic which is a dynamic so don't need the phantom power but note the phantom power is all ro nothing - ie you have it on both ports or none.
For my application - an audio interface to a small computer for video conference, it works well and is low noise. I haven't tried it with a DAW but I can't see why it would be fine for entry level.
