Small tweaks can go a long way

While the T1 gen3 receives mixed reviews my guess is that it's a bit different for the T5 gen3. Gen3 offers small tweaks to the sound compared to gen2 but they are for the better. Compared to a neutral headphone these focus a bit less on the highs a bit more on the mid-bass. The sound is pleasant and can be listened to for a long time without fatigue. Comfort is sub par though with a tight clamp out of the box and of course the small pads (same as gen2). Comfort can be improved by either bending the yokes or headband a bit or by replacing the pads (please do note that the sound signature does change a bit of course!). The cable is of technical high quality but lacks finesse and has a mind of it's own. Replacing the cable shouldn't be a problem though.

The T5 is a good closed-back headphone and should last a long time. Compared to other brands Beyerdynamic offers replacement and spare parts.
