Solid with great punch
I wanted to get something in a vocal mic that had warmth and clarity,so after a bit of searching I came across the TG V70ds.On opening the box I was very pleased with the nice weight and feel of the unit,it is very well made and seems like it would stand up quiet easily to the rigors of gigging. On setting up my channel on the desk I used the same settings as our lead singers Shure SM58 and immediately noticed the volume and clarity of the Beyer was far superior so much so I had to turn my channel down from 10 to below 5. The mic has great warmth and tone,a very smooth sound with plenty of presence that still has plenty of head room if you need to push the volume. The only flaw I find is the on/off switch which if your using it as a handheld unit will pose problems as its very easy to switch yourself off if you get to excited.I think using it on the boom stand would be the way to go.All in all a great mic
