Channels Bleeding Together
I received the 6262 head & instantly noticed that the high gain (lead channel) didn't have that much gain even with the lead chan gain knob maxed out - bizarrely I noticed that the turning gain knob on the **clean channel** added more gain to the lead channel... this means that the clean channel is no longer pristine clean when i switched channels from lead to clean... pretty unusable & very disappointing so I have had to return the head & am currently waiting (end of June 2020) for a fully functioning replacement. Its a pity - because the tones from the amp sound awesome. Hopefully its an issue unique to my specific amp, and not a bug in the 6262 models in general...
Bugera 6262
Awesome amp. Quality is pretty good!
With this amp you can create big range of sounds
Great drive channel!
Great amp!
This is a great amp. I was looking for Peavey 6505+ I totally liked how it sounds. And then i found Bugera 6262 and it's awesome amp for the price and it sounds just like Peavey and maybe even better! I've had a Bugera Trirec for about 2,5 years now. But Bugera 6262 sounds better in my opinion. Killer sound. This is an excellent amp and excellent price.
What an amp.
Been after one of these amps for a long time now and I finally have one. upon unpacking this amp it immediately looks the part on top of the bugera 4x12 I use. Many people in the past have slated bugera saying its not the same as buying the real thing etc but its the same as anything else. every amp or guitar you buy regardless of it being £3000 or £300 there will be duds and some design faults. Take gibson LPs vs the LTD EC401 as prime example same design same materials same quality and its the same here with this 6262. its based on the 6506+ and personally I think its slightly better in tone. I used one of these in the studio against the Peavey and even though there was little difference the bugera shone through. This has the same number of tubes and controls etc. Has EQ, reverb and presence controls for both clean and lead which is very useful as clean and lead usually need different eq and this eliminates the need for a pedal. Switchable OHM setting. 2 loud speaker outs, fx loop which you can control with the switch pedal you get as standard. you can also switch the reverb on and off on both channels with the foot switch. And another feature i like about these bugeras is you just take a power tube out and put new one in, no messing around. You can also use 4 different 6l6/5881 to suit your tonal needs. Another good thing about this amp is the preamp output on the back which you can put directly into another head or studio interface for more tonal customization. There are some small draw back to this amp but nothing to sweat about. the leather covering is not very strong and will mark easily. Stock tubes are cheap chinese tubes and could do with changing to sweeten things up and the fuses are very sensitive so you will need a few spare but this is a good thing as it protects the circuitry. All in all the price you pay for what you get is astonishing. very good value for money
Immense amp at an incredible price
The Bugera 6262 Infinium is a beast of an amp at an unbelievable price. Now I know, all you valve amp purists out there are probably going to stick your nose up at anything that comes out of China but more fool you. This amp has tone, volume and is reliable as a house brick. The valve check system and auto bias features mean valves are no longer a headache and really does work well. I've been gigging mine for a year or so now along side my usual Peavey 6505 and it holds it's own against the Peavey with no reliability issues what so ever. The only problem I have found is there is a little more noise than I would like on the high gain 'lead' channel but the addition of a noise gate pedal easily solves this. All in all this is a killer amp with a lovely tone both clean and hot at an incredible price. You should forget your hang ups and try one NOW!
