I'm very pleased with this ukulele. Certainly a big step up from more entry level examples. This uke has the feel of a more professional instrument. The intonation, something I've found problematic with cheaper ukes is outstanding on this model. The build is good quality. Nice clean frets. Tuning pegs whilst nothing fancy do the job fine and tuning is stable. The sound is really pleasing and this soprano really sings. More depth and tone than cheaper sopranos. Very fun to play. I've converted mine into an electro and got so much more uke for my money than buying a similar priced electro one. I like the understated sun around the sound hole too. Overall a lot of quality uke for your money.

It's all about the wide nut, I believe most ukes in the cheaper range have a 35 or 36mm nut, just an extra 2mm gives you much needed room for playing a D chord as a beginner. The instrument is well made and has a much warmer tone than expected from a soprano, perhaps due to the arched back. It's also a nice colour and is quite charming. The intonation is consistent with only a slight sharpness from the 11th and 12th frets, this may be due to setup but I don't know if any mass produced laminate ukulele in this price range is going to be perfectly crafted. The only thing about the instrument that seems poor is the edges of the saddle, they're pretty sharp with very pointed corners, but I wouldn't want to try sanding them down and risk damaging the satin finish. It's not a big problem,...

I really have to congratulate you for this ukelele . It is light and very carefully put together . The variety of woods wakes my senses to explore it even more . The nailon ukelele strings which are not just some low quality strings <3 help my rocky fingers to recover from the pain of the steel guitar strings . My whole family tryed it out . So , for everyone out there , this product is a great gift for childs and grownups , even for people with no musicality it wakens our curiosity with the small chord book and stickers inside . It also comes with this special bag , like carying a baby . Overall god job mates , Peace .

Ukulele's are not really my main thing at all so I do not have much to compare; indeed the fact that is mostly made of plastic (the parts that will be in contact with your body, due to the plastic fretboard/bottom) makes it feel sort of more artificial than we usually feel when playing a normal ukulele or a guitar. Also, plastic might make you feel the sound a bit different, perhaps more dull, but good after all. However, I chose this particular one due to the fact that it was meant for travelling, and indeed after a trip that lasted for 2-3 weeks (in a mountain bag, not even a suitcase) I can say that I am satisfied with it. It feels a bit smaller than a normal ukulele, perhaps due to the rounded shape of the body. Tuners keep tune quite well even for all the movement that mine...

Bought as a gift for my daughter. I really liked the tool. The color is darker than in the photo, more of a dark cherry. The kit included a tool and a case. Regarding the quality of the tool, I can say one thing, Harley Benton monitors the quality well, but there are flaws. There is a small chip on the head of the instrument. Packed perfectly. I can’t say anything good or bad about the sound, there is no comparison, in general I liked the sound. In general, the purchase rating speaks for itself. Good luck with your purchase!

We've been looking for a decent uke but a little while. I'm not a pro but I do play regularly, so my ear was really struggling with the cheap ukuleles. The poor intonation, constant de-tuning, that cheap and nasty build feel ... none of that with this one! Tuning is good, and it keeps well. Intonation is fine all the way up the neck. 4 stars on the sound and quality only due to the electronics which do feel a bit on the cheap side, and make the sound rather heavy on the highs... and there was a small buzz coming from the electric packaging inside ... not loud, but it's def there when playing quietly. Something is probably vibrating against the wood. Having said that, for the money, it's great to have a pickup.

As a regularly playing musician, when my kids started learning uke, I could not stand the cheap ones. Sound was flat, tuning was dropping, intonation non-existent on most. Having read a few reviews on this one, I decided to give it a try. Very happy with the result. Tuning is good, and it keeps well. Intonation is fine all the way up the neck. You get a bit more cutting tone with mahogany. (harsher is not the right word, but it's def stronger than most other woods) Let me put it this way, it was good enough for us to come back and buy more :)

For very little outlay, this is a perfectly useable ukelele First off, I'm no expert on ukeleles, I'm really a guitarist. But there's nothing here not to like, as long as you have realistic expectations. As with all these ukes, it can take a while for the strings to keep stretching to tune, so you do have to be patient as nylon type strings will take a while to settle in. The carry case is extremely flimsy, but given the total cost of under £20, you can't expect anything else. The instrument itself seems fine, and for this price I really can't criticise it. So as a starter instrument, I've no complaints!

The: "Harley Benton UK-L100 VS Soprano Ukulele" has a Les Paul style, cutaway body, with trapeze pearloide inlays along the neck, & a high gloss Vintage Sunburst finish. When it arrived I was quite pleased with what I saw, the finish was done nicely, & the neck inlays were also accurately cut & inserted. There were a couple of discrepancies between the description & pictures in the listing & the instrument I received. It didn't have the vintage style, tulip machine head buttons (it had small oval, cream plastic ones), & it didn't have a strap pin on it. Sound quality was not to bad, but would definitely be improved by fitting Martin Fluorocarbon strings which I prefer. As I was fitting a strap I fitted a strap pin, a word of warning here, because there...

I recently got this as a gift for my little brother. Let me tell you, he absolutely loves it! First of all, I have to say that it's a beautiful instrument. The stained ash wood gives it a really unique and eye-catching appearance, and it looks great hanging on his wall when he's not playing it. But more importantly, it sounds great too! The tone is warm and rich, and it really brings a smile to our faces when he plays it. He's still learning, and really how good does it need to sound for a beginner? And even though it's a really nice instrument, the price was really reasonable. I was actually surprised by how affordable it was considering the quality of the materials and the craftsmanship. Overall, I would definitely recommend this uke to anyone who's looking for a high-quality...
