Great for modern metal.

The Creamback has become my favorite speaker for home use and recording. My amps (Randall Thrasher and a Diavlo) sound awsome at any EQ settings with it, while with other speakers (V30, G12k-100, Greenback) I always have to tame the highs to get rid of some harshness in the upper registry. Not the case with the Creamback which has mellow yet IMO aggressive highs and high mids. The low mids are very audible and I also tend to use less gain on the amps. Chugs are just brutal. Highly recommended for metal genres and especially for use with modern and tight sounding amps.

Nice mix with g12h 30 Anniversaries

I have mixed it with g12h30 Anniversaries in Marshall 2061cx cab which softened up the sound and gave little bit of this woody character.

Bought for my Victory Sheriff 22

I was using a Vintage 30 and just wasn’t happy with the sound of my amp. I decided on this Creamback, and it tamed all the frequencies that were bothering me. I love playing my amp now.

I put this Speaker in my DSL40C!!!

I changed the original speaker Seventh 80, in my DSL40C, and the new sound is amazing. Using a EQ with 10 band I can find a lot different sound with quality. I usually use a SM57 and e609 together to have a mix sound, and I don't have problem to play songs like, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Metallica, Gojira with this amp and speaker.

This is good for solos and lead!!!

The new mesa boogie Badlander came with this speaker, probably there are a good reason!

Thank's a lot!

excellent

Have a new vox ac 30 s1 , bought this speaker for an isobox project (6 to 7 sheets of 120cm x 60 cm 18mm mdf , lots of rock wool lots of screws ,glue hinges etc , attenuates very well, you can play up full and its not too loud , bass make a bit of rumble) and it has worked out a treat . Have it miked with a sm57, seinheisser mk4 and it sounds amazing in my DAW ,Reaper, Really warm.compressed tube saturation , tames the highs on the ac 30 just right , and no boxiness from the iso cab, great amp and speaker combo.

Best Speaker if you are after a creamy sound

Just bought this speaker, installed it and played 40 minutes. I have a DSL40C and use the JHS Andy Timmons pedal to get creamy tones and satchuration, paired with an Ice 9 overdrive for extra juice.

This speaker brings what my tone has been missing for a while - definition, lower mid frequencies and most importantly musicality. Everything was harsh sounding, having to back the treble, from both amp (at 3-4), my presence at 3 and the JHS pedal pretty drastically to get rid of the hiss of the previous Seventy-80 speaker - ended up with muddy sound.

Now I have the treble at 5, presence at 4, and my eq on the pedal at 12 o'clock.

Could never do that with the previous speaker.

At first I wanted a Vintage 30 but decided to go with this instead.

Best choice I made. The Creamback is as creamy as it gets, as musical as it gets, it has very delicate high end frequencies and sustains great.

if you are after this kind of tone or anything else for that matter, BUY IT! Will not regret!!!
