I thought getting into the world of networking, LANs, sACN and IP addresses was going to be a minefield, but I simply plugged the network cable into my PC, some lights via DMX on the other end and fired up my software and everything worked first time. Gobsmacked.

I use this Showtec device as an Art-Net controller from my PC at the FOH end of events, transmitting data to the stage. The software I use (DMX control 2.12) quickly recognises the device on the network despite going through two network switches and a router first. Using the Showtec to output DMX over IP means less cables to run. I can send all sorts of remote data over a single cable making set up times much quicker. This has been worth every penny.
Showtec NET-2/5 Pocket

I've used various output nodes from many manufacturers (ETC, MA, Chauvet, Elation, Pathways) and this is my favorite, regardless of price. Additionally, it is also much cheaper than the alternatives! The interface is easy to work with. Power supply and PoE options are nice to have. The indicator lights are super helpful for troubleshooting. High marks.
Enttec DMX USB Pro Interface

We've used a lot of these at work for controlling lighting in museum exhibits. Except for a couple of unplug/replugs now and then, they've been extremely reliable. We're talking years of continuous operation, and it could be well enough the OS's fault and not the hardware. The device itself is very easy to set up, which leaves the work where it should be - programming the lights.

Using it with a raspberry pi and a pedal to control the lights from stage while playing. Strong metal case to survive live performance environments. Works flawlessly, it is Plug and play and Linux compatible. Exactly what I needed. Very happy with my purchase.
Eurolite USB-DMX512 PRO Interface MK2

Using this device, together with the "glight" DMX software, I've been able to control a ~100 LED par lightshow during a big dance competition, and it worked great at all times. It allows proper syncing the light chases/transitions to the music, which is absolutely stunning. The device itself is sturdy and supported by many software tools. I've been involved in finishing the OpenDMX Linux driver for it, so that OpenDMX now supports the device as well.
