Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas HSS FR M BP

A decent hard rock-metal axe!

Charvel makes guitars ideal for hard rock and metal, and this one does the job right! A bit heavy guitar, with nice paintwork, very good and fast neck, well built and full sounding. Suprizingly enough, mine arrived with a TB10 bridge pickup which changes the orientation of the instrument to a more modern metal direction. Some could be happy but I prefer the TB4 which normally comes with that guitar, so I will be obliged to make further expenses for purchasing and installation. The guitar needs

tuning, adjustmentt of the truss rod, when it comes out of the hox,vand then plays nucely. If it weren't ror the mistake in the hridge puckup, it would be a really nice -5star-guitar!

Blizzard Pearl / Platinum Pearl - finish flaws

First off let's start off with the finish names. Charvel has internallty named this finish Platinum Pearl and after they ship the guitars, they name it Blizzard Pearl. Honestly, I was very dissapointed with the finish on this guitar because it had a few noticable finish flaws, which should have been easilly noticed by Charvel quality department. Because of this I decided to return this guitar. The guitar was also not setup at all - the floyd was very caved inside the tremolo cavity, so the guitar was unplayable when unboxed, which is not that big of an issue if you know how to setup a floyd, but it would be nice if the guitar arrived at least somewhat close to being setup. Due to the finish flaws, I am in doubt if Charvel checked the quality of the finish of this guitar at all before even shipping it.
