We bought four of these, which we use as tighter LED spots on a band stage, to pick out individual areas from an overall LED wash from LED par cans. They come with a removable fresnel style lens that narrows the beam angle and creates a relatively tight spot that adds more interest than just washing everywhere. Without the lens they make a wide wash light, but are best used in this way as uplighters or close up to equipment as the wide angle is at the expense of an amount of light output. We use them on sound to light mode as uplighters around the walls at discos sometimes and they are really nice as they fade between colours on the beat (about a 1/4 second fade) rather than the ususal LED can snap so look much more high end. They have a kettle lead input, power and DMX loop through and...

ADJ 5PX Hex

I've been using 4 of the original ADJ 5P Hex units for a number of years and they've been phenomenal. When I saw they'd released this refresh '5PX Hex' model a while ago, I had to order 2 to give them a go and compare. Physically, this unit is much improved as it now supports both 3-pin / 5-pin DMX connectors as well as Powercon. We use both 3-pin and 5-pin at different locations around our venue rig, so having both directly on the unit without the need to faff with adapters is very welcome. Powercon is also a must these days. IEC was a PAIN. I remember on more than one occasion when using my original 4 linked, the IEC 'fell out' of the first fixture for whatever reason and of course that brings the whole daisychain down. Now with locking Powercon, that worry is gone. It's also...

I perform all over Europe and the Middle East and fly often with a LOT of equipment. In my shows I control all the lights with software I write and hardware I build myself, so it's imperative to have good and reliable apparatus. I've tried literally dozens of LED PARs before settling on this light, which is ideal for me. Its light output is not extremely high obviously, and can't compare to that of fixtures weighing twice or 3 times as much, but this would be an unfair comparison. For its weight, size and price it's unrivalled. I opted for using 2 such fixtures in every location instead of 1 large one which costs 3 times as much and quadruple the weights. This also gives the advantage that in the freak case of a malfunctioning light (which hasn't happened in the years since I bought...

Stairville LED Par64 MKII RGBW 10mm SI

This is my first ever LED PAR Can. I was sceptical and unsure about my purchase at first, but after receiving the light and using them for a few shows, I'm very happy with my decision. Price was a large contributing factor when I was choosing LED PAR cans. I knew that I'd need to spend at least 10 times the cost of a standard PAR 64 with 500w lamp to even get close to the same output with an LED fixture. I wasn't wrong. At just over £45 each, these LED cans are a little more money than a PAR 64 with a decent 500w lamp, but the brightness doesn't even begin to compare. I bought 2 of these RGBW LED PAR Cans and they both get washed out by a single 500w PAR 64 or even a 300w PAR 56. Luckily, I knew this would be the case before I ordered. If your here to buy an LED PAR to replace...

Showtec Compact PAR 7 Q4

I have 16 of these lights and use them intensively for back lighting and set lighting in the theater, music events and video recording. The color mixing is good, the white channel allows for a wider range of (pastel) colors and given the price difference between the Compact Par Tri and the Q4 I would always opt for the Q4. The light output is decent, not comparable with a 1KW par 64 but they beat an old 300W par 56. I run them in DMX 6-channel mode, the 11-channel mode does not give you many additional options, except for the random strobe, which is easy enough to implement on my light desk. They use a high PWM frequency, so there is no noticeable flicker, not even on video. A local company has installed more than 200 of these in different venues, and according to them these lights are...

I am mostly doing videography for classical music performances and I got two of these lights in addition to my tungsten lights. They are very quiet (the fan speed depends on the intensity of the light, but even on full intensity the fan noise is very low). The light output is really nice, wide and very even (no hotspot, no color separation), and with two of these you can get a nice color wash on a wall 10 m wide, 6 m high, if the light is 3-4 m from the wall. They can compete nicely with ambient light, so the room doesn't have to be completely dark, but bear in mind that it is not the strongest light around. I also used them as backlight for lighting the performers, and it looks great on camera. Amber and UV are a bit weak, but usable. Try mixing UV with amber, very interesting results....

We have tested this light against: Cameo ROOT Par 4 Cameo ROOT Par 6 Chauvet SlimPar Q12 BT Chauvet SlimPAR T12 ILS We have chosen these lights based on their rated light output vs price. And this Eurolite one became the winner. We used an Eurolite luxmeter to measure the output. The light output is really that high (14000 lm@1m). We use it as a backlight against the frontlight at a color of cca 4900K (Elation KL Fresnel 6 Cool white + filter). I consider the warm white component of this Eurolite as a plus since I find having a standard cool white separately with a cool white with RGB at max not very flexible. And a price vs performace ration is really good.

I bought these lights to fit into some square NovoPro adjustable columns that have replaced my trussing columns and older ADJ Par Pluses. These are a lot brighter and also come with Amber and Pure White which my old ones didn't have. These are metal too and are very well built. The light output, when seen through the scrim, is very bright. They are also a lot quicker to respond to compared to my older ADJ Pars. Overall, I'm very happy with them and would recommend anyone thinking about upgrading the older ADJ Mega Pars/Plus to take the leap. Very strong metal casing and brighter.

I now have a dozen of these lights and am intending to purchase more - so would easily recommend them. The only criticism is that the remote control isn't the easiest to set up and use so that can be a bit frustrating. Fortunately I only use these with DMX controllers so they're fine for that. They can be used on stand alone and the menu system is quite extensive so you'll need to spend a few minutes learning that - for stand alone operations you can select pre-defined colours or individually adjust the red green blue and white levels, though that may take a while. I've only given four stars for light output - whilst the overall brightness is better than a halogen Par56 the white LED s on their own is fairly poor so I tend to cheat by adding in a small percentage of the other colours...

ADJ Mega HEX Par RGBAW UV

The ADJ Mega HEX Par is what I consider to be the bigger brother to the ADJ Mega Tri Par. The design between the two Flat Pars our the same which does lead to some confusion, if you own both products like I do. you will see them around quite a big, for instance, I've spotted them in circus tents and small theatres as being part of the main light rig and also in bars, clubs and ice rings (it does have to be noted they are not outdoor rated). The Mega Hex Par, I find like many others I know has an incredibly good balance between price, performance and flexibility in the roles it can perform in roles such as uplighting, audience blinders, main lights and fillers, while at the same time being able to be to compete with the main lighting fixtures a hundred pounds more expensive, giving it the...
