It's a really great chin rest. After having used it for 3 years now, all I could say is that its wood really adds to the sound quality of the violin. However, since I am not very fond nowadays of heavy objects, please note that this chinrest is quite heavy. It is also tall in height compared to its Strad variation.

I wanted a more central placed chinrest without it being entirely over the tailpiece and having a higher gripping point for my jaw. This model was fit to that. At first, I was very hesitant buying a chinest from the internet but the photos, detailed information given and the comments persuaded me for the opposite. Now, I'm glad I did. The cork appears to be small but is thick enough to ensure the chinrest will not damage the violin; the legs offer stability and good gripping while the minimum violin surface needed is used for that. Yup, recommend
