Excellent cable, both the cable quality and the mechanical qualities & build - Kirlin is one serious company! This one is very well insulated, a lot thicker and beefier than the usual coiled cables, so also a bit heavier, if this is a concern. The 9m length works perfectly well for me, as coiled it's not much different than the usual 6m cables, but when you need it, it does make all the difference. Does it do the trick of slightly darkening single coil passive pickups? Well of course it does!

Ich habe immer wieder Kabeln von der F marke gekauft. Waren lang und sahen gut aus, vor allem mit der Tweed Ummantelung. Aber nachdem mehrere Kabeln kaputt gegangen sind, wurde ich ein bisschen skeptisch. Wir hatten gestern einen wichtigen Gig, sodass ich alternativen suchen musste. Ich habe ab und zu Saiten aus der marke gekauft und dachte, lass uns die Kabel probieren. Die Kabeln sind zwar nicht mit tweed versehen, aber die Farbe ist genial. Im Gig haben die eine gute Figur gemacht. Ich bin gespannt wie lange die halten.

With a shorter cable I have pulled my amp to the ground twice, these moments scarred me for life. I now play guitar at the local rehab center. My guitar sessions are often interrupted by sudden flashbacks of these traumatic experiences followed by constant screaming for a minimum of 15 minutes. The cable is very long, so not that ideal for just playing at home. I also just play in my room but I chose this cable because I like to walk around the room a lot, searching for a last piece of hope. Sound quality does not get disrupted or something which you and I most likely like about good cables. It sounds like an improvement, but maybe that's the psychological effect of the weight of the cable. The coil works great although I'm a bit scarred it's so strong wound, it will pull my small tube combo amp of it's stand. Heavy cable, but again not as heavy to make it a discomfort. With my Jazzmaster on top of body connection it works great, but I do need to pay some attention with my telecaster, even when hooking it through the strap first, the cable can pull itself loose or half out because of the weight and/or tension (maybe this last part is wearing of a bit now I've been using it for a few weeks). I would buy it again, because it really feels like a quality cable at a reasonable price.

I decided to buy a new cable bc my old one is a bit of a mess, and im a big fan of hendrix so i thought hmm this would be such a nice addition! And i was right, it was a good addition, the sound on clean is very “chunky” which for those who play mainly clean then maybe this isn’t for you, however those who love distortion, this is such a good cable, only thing i could say could be better was if it was longer but then again if you’re just jamming in your room it doesn’t matter much! i very much do recommend this!

I assumed that these relatively new Flex-series cables would be the same as Ernie Ball's Classic-series ones, only more colorful, but there is a more important difference worth noting: holding both of them side by side, I immediately noticed that the plugs on these Flex-series cables were quite significantly shorter. On the one hand, they are much more compact, but on the other hand, there is less material to hold onto while plugging and unplugging. The quality appears to be the same, but because they are thick and quite heavy (yes, even these shorter ones), I am a little bit worried about the capacitance (of the plugs themselves).
