amplifier for rehearsal room
i will use my new Crown xli 2500 amp, in the rehearsal room of my new studio. It is about 32m2 , height 3,30m and the speakers i'm going to use are Work 250/500 (Rms/peak) and Behringer eurolive B215xl 250/1000 (Rms/peak). So i will operate it at 4 Ohms with a pair of speakers per channel. I did my first trial today, this speakers/amplifier combo worked perfectly and met my expectations. The amplifier worked quietly for about an hour, at normal temperature, without any signs of heat. For this first testing i used the music from my smartphone connected via RCA. I will come back with more feedback when i will test it with mics and vocals etc.
It is a wonderful piece of equipment, it came securely packaged fully protected without a scratch. I m fully satisfied.
Our Soundsystem Amp
Sounds great, good quality, maybe a harder packaging will be ok
Clean and Simple Power
I power a pair of DB Technologies Arena 15's using this amplifier. I needed a small and powerful system for use in a 400 cap (seated) room.
Using a crossover I split my signal between this amplifier and the XLI 1500 for my subs. I also have my monitor amplifiers in a rack alongside these. I have 1u of space between each amplifier with no fans in the rack unit, no overheating issues after 6 months of use (in up to 34C)
Simple, solid, clean.
Excellent for my uses. Would recommend.
