Yamaha YC61
Based on 4 reviews
The Yamaha YC61 is such a magnificent beast, that is super portable. The weight is so light, I can lift/carry it with one hand. Even though this keyboard is designed for stage performers compared to a synthesizer such as my Yamaha Montage 8, I would still prefer using the YC61 because of how light it is. The sounds are amazing! Beautiful mix all throughout. The drawbars have excellent clickity sounds when you pull them out for more harmonics, which gives you a satisfying feeling. The entire keyboard is made of metal/aluminum casing , so it's built like a tank. Everything shouts Premium. Even the knobs, faders, aviator switches are amazing. You won't regret buying this keyboard.
Viscount Legend
Based on 2 reviews
Hello everyone! I have LEGEND for about five months, so here are my conclusions: Sound: Recently, I had the opportunity to conduct a comparative test between Viscount and the well-preserved Hammond B3, both instruments connected to Leslie. I was shocked because I didn't feel ANY difference in the sound !!! I'm currently using the latest update (1.4) Next things: - KILLER FAT SOUND, NO DIGITAL FEELINGS AT ALL ! - FANTASTIC LESLIE SIMULATION (TWO TYPES) ! - GREAT ACTIVE OVERDRIVE ! - 2 TYPES OF REVERB ! - 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF ORGAN: BC, B3, A100 ! - UNIQUE CROSSTALK FOR EACH MODEL. Keyboard action is slightly heavier than in original B3 but I like it. I'm also a piano player, so it doesn't bother me. LEGEND is built LIKE A TANK - HAND MADE IN ITALY and It weighs only 21kg ! I'm in...
Hammond XK-1C

I am very happy to write the very first review for this superb organ from Hammond, even though it has been here for only 24 hours !!! Nice finish, and robust, handy to play. It is light weight too. The effects switches are the right size, to switch on or off while playing, with bright indicators on switch on. I also liked that little tint on the keys, with that two pieces of ‘wood’ in it’s sides, as if you have a real vintage B3!! As for sound, it really punch in headphones, or when fed through an amplifier, especially tube amps. To hear that beautiful sound of rotating Leslie speakers, you have to plug it in a stereo amp. It is worth buying this nice organ, especially when you are interested in that HAMMOND B3 sound !!!
Viscount Legend Live Black Signature

I've just upgraded to the Legend Live Joey DF model from the Legend solo and wasn't expecting much of a difference other than the extra keyboard but make no mistake this is a an altogether better instrument in sound and feel. The build quality is top notch, this thing is built to last!! I din't know how much of a difference the tweaks from JDF would make, but it sounds so much better. It has the same great jazz tone as my Legend Solo but now the distortion and leslie effect seem to have something extra and I can play some convincing rock organ sounds that will soon drive down property prices in my street! I haven't stoped smiling since I took delivery. The reason I only gave 4 starts for features was comparing it to a Hammond XK5. However, I didn't get into playing the organ to spend...
Roland VR-09 V-Combo B

I' d like to start this review by saying that this synth is really really great ! I can' t almost find a blemish on this gem ! The sounds : The sound samples are of true high pro quality. They stimulate the mind and the hands follow ! The electric piano sounds are fantastic ! So inspirational ! The piano sounds are alright. The brass, the strings and of course the organ sounds are of top quality. The rotary effect of the organ is great and the drawbars are giving lots of options ! FX section : The FX sounds are also fantastic ! I like all of them : The chorus, vibrato, tremolo, phaser, distortion etc, they all are of true high quality ! They really trigger the sounds and lead them to a whole new level of inspiration and joy ! The only negative that I find in this section, is that you...
Viscount Legend Live

I'm a Hammond organ techician, and as such I am _extremely_ aware how a real tonewheel Hammond sounds, works and plays. I still prefer bringing a proper tonewheel Hammond to my gigs, but sometimes it isn't possible these days, so I just had to get a clone. Tried all I could find, and the Legend is BY FAR the best buy, in my book. There are a couple of others that can match it sound wise, but none at the same price point. The Viscount Legend is an absolute bargain that delivers great sound and actually responds like a real Hammond. On the downside: the wood parts chip easily, and the painted metal scratches very easily. If it were powder coated instead of painted it would be perfect - but alas, it's not. Also, the output level from the 11-pin Leslie output is a tad too low and does not...
Crumar Mojo Suitcase
Based on 1 reviews
Yes, it worth the money and seems more stable than the old mojo. For the sound, it's good and bad! The sound is soulful and have the tube feel, but if you looking for a thing that perfectly copy the sound of the vintage hammond it's not the best choice. However, it's a good sounding instrument that combine the Hammond tone with some Crumar color, and it's sound good on stage! For the keybed, it is very smooth that even smoother than the origional Hammond. Some action that will be lead to a wrong note on the real Hammond, but on the Mojo Suitcase it is easier to play so the wrong note is gone! The good thing is on stage, it make you play better. But for practice this can be dangerous that if you only practice on the new mojo you may end up play lots of wrong note on a real hammond or...
