Perfect for a vintage style mustang bass
Having experimented with various sets of flatwound strings, I can confidently say that these are my absolute favorites for my Mustang basses. The tonal consistency from string to string is remarkable, delivering a punchy midrange that effortlessly cuts through any mix. Unlike certain other flatwound options, these strings offer the advantage of adjustability using the tone control, allowing for a wider range of tonal possibilities. They perform equally well on both my Fender JMJ Mustang basses and my Squier Classic Vibe Mustang bass.

Great sounding strings as always
Warm tone
My first set of flat wound strings and I’m not disappointed. So smooth to play and a wonderful sound. Pricy but worth it.
Fab gear ...
Put em on my Harley Benton violin bass, & hey presto Pauls in the room ....
Good quality product
I purchased these for a medium-scale bass I bought and I must say they enhance the vintage sound of the instrument which was what I was aiming for.
They are well made and feel well-finished to the touch and particularly comfortable to play. I mainly play fingerstyle and these are much less wearing on the fingertips than roundwounds.
I do note that the price has gone up since I purchased them though, so on that basis I'm not convinced they are just as good value now.
Definitiv
Flatwound strings can change completely your vision of the bass, with this afterword I can start this review.
I mounted the strings on my Fender Jazz
and when I will change these strings, I will change just for another pack of the same but the long scale.Indeed I did the mistake to not paying attention to this detail(medium scale, shorter of my fretboard) and so the initial part of the string is a little thinner and I had to ask to my husband to adapt it and set it in a way that I can play it anyway.
The sound is really amazing and get better and better with time.
Pro: Really slow aging, you can keep these strings for years and they are still warm and tunable and you can play and perform with satisfation
Quality very good
The feeling under beides the hands
Cons:
In the first phase you feel that the strings are hard to press but it's only temporary, as much as you play the sensation disappear in a month or so
