Daddario EJ45 Reviews
Best acoustic guitar strings I've ever owned.
These strings are really high quality. They have a much better sound than the stock strings that came with my acoustic! Highly recommend them.
These strings are made for fingerin'
And that's just what I'll do!
Great Strings
Does what is says on the pack. Perfect
Just nice strings
Nothing especial from this set of strings, but also nothing wrong with them
exactly as expected and they perform great, the only complain is they don't stay in tune when you first tune the strings, but after a day it's all good
EJ45 strings, a reference for nylon strings.
Sound great
I am a beginner but these strings sounds great on my guitar.
Lovely strings
These strings sound brilliant for a reasonable price. They are smooth and not too squeaky. I use them on an HBO-850 and they play and sound great.
For the price these are very good strings, at least to my ears. They have clarity and a good control on every frequency. I also find that in other brands the wound on D string, breaks after a while, but not on these.
Medium Price Strings
I bought this set to revive an 30+ years old guitar.
It's a cheap guitar witch doesn't sound like my actual guitar. So i don't play it often on it. But when i do, i like it sounds well
So, i was looking for a medium price strings set and it does its job perfectly.

Don't last long
I had great expectations due to other reviews, however it would not be my choice for nylon snares again. Sound is good, and they stay well in tune after a few times stretching, however after a few hours playing they already start to look like a replacement of the snares is required. These snares a not cheap and i used other much cheaper chinese snares which produce almost the same sound and last much longer for a split of the bucks.
Very good
Excelent strings, great cost/benefit relation.
great quality strings
I've been using these strings for years and everytime I put a new set on my guitar sounds more vibrant and alive.
A new pair definitely makes you sound better!
For a friend
A neighbor wanted a good but cheap guitar so I helped him choose one; we went to a store and picked the best-sounding and best-made among the budget ones. It's a small-size acoustic with the body of a classical guitar, the headstock and tuners of a classical, but a truss rod Inside the neck, like a folk.
After the stock strings became worn out I ordered some D'Addario's for him because they have always been great on my classical, folk, bass and electric guitars. I prefer those with medium-hard tension on my own guitars because they are not the cheapest, and made with full-size quality solid wood tops. Medium-hard barely feels different while it sounds snappier.
But I suspect my friend's guitar is not made with such durable wood so I chose the normal tension strings to avoid the risk of having too much tension on the bridge. The tone was fresher with more harmonics, not just because the strings were new but because the stock strings on a very affordable guitar can't be superb.
When my friend played it I noticed how the volume was stronger, too. They have no cosmetic defects or unevenness. We played them with a bone pick, fingernails of finger flesh, and the tone was always powerful and shimmering. The guitar is very okay for its price, and became better, nice grain, nice ring.
If you have a full-size classical with quality wood use the medium-hard tension, they don't really feel harder but sound punchier. I don't know about the hardest strings in the line.
Durable, affordable and great sounding
I found an old classical guitar in my attic and decided to clean it off and put new strings on it. It now sounds great it's all thanks to these strings. I would highly recommend since these have become my go to strings ever since. Very durable and affordable too!
Good, balanced strings, I use them for many years but not for concert guitars. The bass strings have very good sound, the trebles are a little weaker.
Very nice quality / sound
These strings are pretty good, have clean sound, a nice quality. The price is quite good. Last about 7 months.
Nice tone
Easy and really smooth strings to play, very good tone, but a little bit to easy to drop tune. I have been using this strings on my classical guitar for a while and I have to tune it pretty often to stay in tune. Otherwise the sound and the quality feels really nice.
Good strings
Nice clean sound and they have lasted a while whilst maintaining the quality and zingyness
Daddario EJ45
these are alright - not great, not the worst - they are definitely cost effective for students or for setting up a new guitar/getting a guitar ready for sale! best price/performance ratio around.
The only nylon strings I use
Since I first bought these, they've become my regular strings on both my full size classical guitar and even now on my little Yamaha "guitalele". Long-lasting, clear and consistent tone.
