Daddario EXL115 Reviews
Love D'Addario strings!
I've been playing quite a while, and I have a lot of guitars, so I've used a lot of different strings in different gauges from different manufacturers. D'Addario are my go-to roundwound strings. I use 11's (these) on most of my guitars, and 10s on some others. I'm lazy and don't change them very often, and these have a great service life and hold their tuning and keep their tone for a long time. I'll most likely be a D'Addario user for life! I should probably just buy a box. :)
Good Quality
Sound:
Good clear sound. I does what it is made and advertised for.
Durability:
Like every strings, you need to take care of them but they are durable. No broke string at the middle of a concert
I will buy this product again.
Good all-around strings
I feel like the strings are somehow a little less resonant than my usual choice (EB), but it is minimal. Used live (gigs, sweat,..) they didn't oxydise too quickly and didn't break. I haven't tried these in the studio.
I always use Daddario strings, so I'm very happy with these.
I usually use 10's but I decided to try out 11's as I had been practising a lot at the time.
They're quite good, as are all Daddario strings.
I got 3/4 gigs out of them and they sounded fairly good.
Overall, they're a good set of strings.
Great Strings.
I have used many strings in the past, and recently have become to love these strings.
Giving a really bright sound that lasts is what I love about these strings.
I found they have allowed me to play many styles of music with comfort and have always delivered the ideal sound, weather they have been played hard for that rock sound or just lightly plucked for the softer music, they have always sound great.
I find that keeping the strings clean can help keep them sounding bright for longer, so it is helpful in giving them a wipe down after each gig.

These strings were recommended to me by a guitar tech for a Fender Highway One Stratocaster that just didn't work that well with my typical Ernie Ball-strings. I was able to achieve significally lower string action with these. The sound is quite similar, a bit brighter maybe but still fat and warm enough to get a decent jazz tone. In my opinion they are not that well suited for harder rock when it comes to higher gain sounds, but that may be just my expression. The sets seem to be very consistent and i had no problems with breaking strings until now.
Best strings
What can i say, i use Daddarios for all my guitars now. I like them especially on my guitar equipped with locking tuners. I put the strings on, i tune them, i stretch them out, tune again, and thats it. The strings will stay in tune and need little adjustment and thats how i like it. A set lasts about three weeks of daily playing. After that time i can still play them but the strings surface begins to loose its super slippery touch and shows signs of aging like rust. The sound quality dimishes as well and the strings sound sort of dull.
C# Tuning Strings, the right gauge
I use this particular gauge on my Jackson Phil Demmel for the Machine Head Tuning, which is C# Standard and Drop B. 11 to 49 seems to be the only right gauge for that tuning, if it were any heavier it would be very hard to play, and if it was light the strings would become loose, so these ones strike the balance I need.
As always, D'addarios are high quality strings, so no problem there. It was only a matter of finding the right gauge, and this was the one. And adding to the fact that I have a Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker pickup on the bridge, these strings sound even more killer. Very happy with them

Well, another masterpiece from masterclass company. Very good, bright tone, colour coded strings. This guage is a bit heavier than the most of standard E string sets. All in all a best buy.

Great string, Never had any problems, One of my favourite brands, Great for blues and Jazz. Versatile rich and full tone. Long lasting too! Probably why they are one of the most popular strings out there!
Good strings, but didn't last long!
Maybe it's my fault for getting carried away with different tunings and lots of bends, but my G string didn't last as long as I would have hoped. I've never snapped a string in my life and I've always used Daddario on my electric guitars. Despite this small set back, I was impressed as usual by the feel and sound of these strings and would recommend them to anyone. A good product at a great price!
A+
Great strings, perfect feel from them, don't fade to quickly or rust or snap
Strings
Great value (but buy more expensive coated ones as they last around 4 times longer)
