A good set of strings.

I was recommended these buy a friend that works on a lot of big tours with rock and metal bands. He is also an amazing guitarist and said that he uses these on all his guitars. Since he restrung a couple of my guitars with these I can defiantly say I haven't looked back. the price for the multi pack is even better value if you have multiple guitars. really cuts down on costs. they produce an amazing sound and I find them really easy and nice to play. Give them a try and I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

Great for soft finger playing

If you use much finger vibrato these sure are the way to go! 10?gauge just seek more strength and can never get that nice fast vibrato as these 9' gauge can. I love the sound of D'addario strings and will be sticking with them

Best Value Strings

I'm not really a connoisseur of strings; I just trust a brand name and go for what's cheapest. These never let me down.

Daddario EXL120-3D

D'Addario is my choice when it comes to guitar strings. They seem to have a better lifespan if you compare them to other brands.

These are no exception, excellent quality with great resonance. I've had to up the gauge due to using a short-scale guitar and opted for the 9.5 gauge since which are perfect for my needs.

Great strings

High quality, ultra light, great sound and very responsive.

Oh yes; excellent value!!

Great superlight strings

I used Daddario EXL120-3D for about 2 years and loved the the bright clear tone. I have since moved to a heavier gauge because the top E string would only last a few weeks. This could be because I play in Spain and sweat a lot from the heat. Extra E strings are available.

Also great price.

Excellent

These are the only electric strings that I have used for over 15 years. At one point, when touring in America, I was end some boxes of strings by a well know string manufacturer, free of charge. They were very good, but I still went back to buying and using the EXL 120s.

The are consistently well-balance and bright, with strong harmonic overtones, and I very rarely suffer breakages when playing.

Highly recommended!

Industry Standard

For a good reason. I've used these for years and never had any problems. The only string breakages I've ever had have been down to me cheapskating and not changing strings often enough! I can normally get 4 or 5 gigs and the same number of rehearsals out of a set.

Such a great little multipack

These strings are great quality and sound excellent and I have found them to be very long lasting so handy to be able to buy them in a multipack such a time and money saver but not losing out on The quality so a win win would 100% recomend to any guitarist

Consistent

Used these strings for 20 odd years now. Compared to other brands I have used these are much more reliable and consistent, qualities that are undeniably important when it comes to selecting your brand of string I'm sure! Tone wise they are perfect, not too bright yet very balanced, again I think this comes down to consistency. I have never broke a daddario string, I tend to change sets twice a month, I have broken strings from other major brands. I don't tend to sweat much so I cannot comment on how resistant they are to corrosion but really you should be changing your strings more often if you perspire a lot so it's a moot point.

Great strings

I've used D;Addario since 1992 and they are still my favourite now. The triple packs are great value for money, and the consistency of D'Addario strings and longevity is un-paralleled.

Amazing strings

Hands down my favorite strings. These strings came with my first guitar, tried several brands since then but so far no other brand/type of strings are close to replacing these as my personal best. Excellent sound and amazing durability. I never had one break on me, even in cases where the strings had rusted. This set of 3 is a great value.

nice for solo

good strings

Daddario is one of the most used brand for guitar strings.

I use the nice 009 set for my Stratocaster which has ceramics and a low output.

Even sounds, fast playing, tone is good for Nile Rodgers funk and rock.

Even old strings sound better as the ultra cheap budget strings. Really!

Strange enough they are too dull on my telecaster, so that kept its Fender strings...

Good to buy 3 sets, it's a bit cheaper, and you always have to change strings when the shops are closed...

Tip:

Sometimes, when the thick wound strings(EAD) are gone after a sweaty performance, i keep the unwound strings on the guitar. So i have a spare E-B-G set in case a string breaks.

Great strings

These are the standards i use on my Fender MIM Telecaster. The color coding on the strings make it easy to put them on, something i really like about D'addario's strings in general.

They need about an hour of play before they start start to be in tune.

After a few days, they settle and be remain consistently in tune for about 2 days straight....only having to re-tune max half a half step (except when moving the guitar around of course)

The tone of these is great, fairly clean and a good sustain. After a month or so of intensive play, they start to sound a little dull and need to be replaced.

I have fairly acidic sweat...and after a couple of weeks....their shine wears a little of and they are effected on places where they are touch the most.

Compared to the 0.46's, the playability of these is awesome. They are light are

bend easily, but, knock on wood, i have not had a EXL 120 string broken on me yet.

Super long living Strings

These Strings are very long living and get the best out of my PRS guitars. They are bright with a very good and modern bass response. The perfect match for a versatile guitar.

Why pay more?

D'Addario are consistently good strings. I see these as my default strings - nothing out of the ordinary, just a really good clear 'standard' electric guitar sound. Used on my Squier CVC Telecaster.
